About The Boog Sciambi Show

South Florida sports fans have been enjoying the work of "Boog" Sciambi since his arrival on the scene more than a decade ago. We're proud to have his talents on the air for us every weekday here on SportsTalk 790 The Ticket, as "Boog" delivers his audience an impressive scope of sports knowledge and strong opinions in his own distinctively personable manner.

"I am extremely excited to host talk shows once again, and I couldn't imagine a better platform than SportsTalk 790, which has quickly emerged as a strong force in the local market," 'Boog' said.

During his eight seasons in the broadcast booth calling play-by-play for the Florida Marlins, Sciambi's unbridled passion for baseball came through the radio speakers loud and clear. Now, he broadens his outlook on the game as he broadens his audience in the process calling Major League Baseball for ESPN TV.

Besides his work with the Marlins, "Boog" has provided play-by-play on college football and basketball broadcasts for College Sports TV, Westwood One Radio and ESPN regional TV. Sciambi hosted Westwood One Radio's special coverage of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT, and the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.

Prior to joining the Marlins, Sciambi was the pre and post-game host for Florida Panthers hockey radio broadcasts. In 1996, Sciambi called the play-by-play radio for the Boise Hawks of the Northwest League. Sciambi, a native of New York City, NY, graduated from Boston College with a degree in speech communication. He is single and resides in Miramar, FL.

Neil Rogers

Sports Radio 560 WQAM

If it's personality you're looking for, it's personality you'll get with “The Neil Rogers Show!" Neil's direct, “in-your-face” approach to radio has dominated the South Florida market for " 'bout 30 " years. Neil has acquired a tremendous following of loyal listeners that enjoy his satirical approach and parodies of every topic, no matter how sensitive the issue. ``I've been very lucky. I'm making enough money. I've put a lot of it away so I don't have to worry about having to work until I croak, which I certainly don't want to do.'' Yet no matter when -- or how -- it ends, there's no doubt Rogers' career in South Florida has been an interesting one, from its happenstance start on the side of a highway near Yuma, Ariz., to a show he now does mostly from a bedroom studio in his Toronto home. In between it has featured jobs at a half-dozen stations, jumps from AM to FM and back again, coming out of the closet on the air and eventually becoming the last survivor of what once was the nation's most vibrant talk-radio market. And Rogers has been doing that since his first stab at broadcasting when, as a child, he entertained himself by calling baseball play-by-play in front of the family television set in Rochester , N.Y.
His parents managed a sporting goods store but Rogers -- born Nelson Roger Behelfer -- found his escape in radio, dreaming of being a DJ or sports announcer.
His first paid radio job was spinning records at a tiny daytime station in Canandaigua, N.Y., and from there he went on to study broadcasting at Michigan State, dropping out after two years to go on the air as a sportscaster and rock DJ.

Radio jobs tend to end quicker than celebrity romances, however, and Rogers did his share of moving, going from Batavia, N.Y., to Albion, Mich., to Marshall, Mich., to Sturgis, Mich., to Sarasota and finally on to WJNO in West Palm Beach.

Doug Stewart - Bio
“2 Live Stews”
790 The Zone

“2 Live Stews” 790 The Zone Growing up, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Doug Stewart (left) never dreamed of being a sports radio host. But, that's precisely what has happened. Doug and his brother, Ryan Stewart followed the advice of friends one day and called up 790 The Zone to get some air-time to talk sports, and as their fans, affectionately known and the "dogs and poodles" will tell you, the rest is history. The 2 Live Stews debuted on Sports Radio 790 The Zone in 2001 and have watched their following grow from Atlanta to nationwide. The 2 Live Stews were nationally syndicated in 2006 and can be heard in approximately 24 markets across the country. The popularity of the show, which is best described as "from the basement style sports talk", has gained such popularity that Doug been asked to appear several times with his co-host/brother Ryan Stewart on ESPN2's Cold Pizza. In addition, the 2 Live Stews were named "Air Talent of the Year" by ESPN in 2005. While his brother, Ryan is typically thought of as the wild and crazy bachelor, could Doug have been more like his brother in his younger days? When asked about his favorite sports memory, Doug simply tates,"Homecoming night, High School 1987."
